The real pandemic, a global disease…
To our regret, we are the only ones responsible for the evil that contamination by micro and nano plastics represents, and this is a progressive problem. Every year the amount of tons of plastic dumped into the environment doubles. If corrective actions are not taken, by 2030 it is estimated that 130 million tons will be dumped.
It is a global situation since it affects land, rivers, seas, oceans, air, plants, damages fish, land animals, man.
Not only do we throw it in the trash at home. People looking for materials in the garbage of the streets (cardboard, aluminum), find the plastic in the trash and throw it away again, because recyclers pay more for paper or aluminum than plastic.
Due to the large number of urban sectors with large amounts of plastic on the street, a lot of organization is needed to be able to hire enough forklift drivers to collect the plastic and take it to the processing center.
Our program consists of two components:
- A first stage called “Plasticosis, a Global Disease” which consists of visiting schools and high schools, to make a presentation to young students and show them all the health and environmental problems that causes the plastic we throw into the environment.
- A second stage comes in, called ¨A wheelbarrow can save the planet¨ which consists of getting more sponsors interested in being part of this program, in exchange for advertising on social networks, so that they are recognized as contributors to a best planet.
